Name: Crochetmama905
Gender: Female

Interests: Crocheting, politics, Mexican food. In fact my idea of heaven would be eating a plate of chile rellenos while crocheting a doily and watching a political debate on TV with my ideologically like-minded twin sister while we scream and throw balls of yarn at the TV during our opponent's lame and wimpy speech. I also love teaching AWANA in our church on Wednesday nights-- I'm the Green Meadow lady. My husband and I also teach the 3rd and 4th grade Sunday School. We call ourselves the Mighty Ducks. It's a perfect age to teach--they're old enough to get my corny jokes but too young to ask really hard theological questions!
Expertise: I type medical reports for docs. I've been doing it for over 30 years. I type really fast, and my fingers are the skinniest part of my body.
Occupation: Computer related
Industry: Medical

Wow, I haven't blogged in so long....almost two years, I forgot how to do this.  I'm going to check and see if this works.   And while I'm trying this out, I'll try the photo thing-a-majig too.  Here's a picture of the Wyoming leg of Charlie's trip down to New Mexico last month.  Okay let's see if this thing works.  Cool!  I think the picture worked.  Now we'll see about the text part....

Hey everybody!

Check this out:   http://youtube.com/watch?v=SmLhyPjHVes  but you need to make sure your volume is UP so you can hear the whole thing.

I just love that YouTube thing!  I hope you are all doing fine.  Work has been keeping me hopping lately.  Which is good because that means $$.

Well tell me what you think of the little video thingy!

Sorry, ladies, I have been a blaxer.  I have had things to do.  I'm speed crocheting trying to get an afghan done before Samantha goes to a wedding next weekend in Minneapolis.  I don't think I'm going to get finished though.  I've also been transfixed by the events going on in the Middle East.  I just can't seem to stop watching it and my heart has been broken by the pictures I've seen there.

Israeli Soldiers July 2006

The next thing I wanted to tell you about is something incredible that was found in Ireland in a bog (mud).  A Medieval copy of the Book of Psalms was found there by a construction worker.  It has been tested and is over 1,200 years old!  It is said to be like the equivalent to the Dead Sea Scrolls that had the book of Isaiah.  What is so miraculous is that:

(A) It was found at all.    (B) It was intact.    (C) It was turned to the 83rd Psalm, and   (D) It was found at this particular moment in history.

First read the 83rd Psalm and then go to this link and prepare to be in awe of our AWESOME GOD!

Next, when you see me in church you will notice something wrong with my left eye.  It's got a huge blood spill in there.  I don't know how it happened.  I woke up on Thursday with it.  It is a deep red and very obvious.  It just has to fade away I guess.  In the mean time Crochetmama Look-Alike and I no longer look alike.  Next I need to go make an enchilada for tomorrow's pot luck.

Finally, I just have to share something that made me smile.  I hope it makes you smile too; in fact, that is the name of this photo:      SMILE !   SAY CHEESE !

Smile!

Lots of Love, Crochetmama
